The Last 24 Hours

Our flight has been changed... we weren't notified...so we get a free day in Mumbai while awaiting our new flight!  At Mumbai's International Airport this morning where we'll return 10pm tonight!....

Mumbai's airport has improved every year...and last year they finally opened their new one. Excellent!

Time with friends @TimeZone, Inorbit Mall, Vashi Mumbai! Thanks so much Don and Maria! You made Nafisa's night! Unforgettable! Grant it, I may have pummeled her too much on the bumper cars...couldn't resist. ;-)

Giving Time

Giving time to others has been a fun part of what we are about. We've made some good friends and have been able to share truth and life with many.  These kids are precious and we are grateful to Dr. E. for allowing us to spend time with them. From teaching, crafts and playing around, it's been great!

I'll never forget one of the guys we've been able to do this with. We'll call him 'Norm!'   "Norm" came over in April of this year with a group from Ohio. Great people with lots of love to give.  We are so grateful for partnerships like those that go a long way in getting that love to spread around to those who need that extra loving attention. Thanks Norm and to all you from Grove City who made that day possible, building into the lives of these wonderful children.

The last few weeks of June

Friends are Great!  After being away, nothing is better than a hug from a real friend.

Enjoying Nafisa telling jokes from a joke book while heading to the airport to pick up some really cool people!

We usually dont' get to see the sky much... usually overcast these days but great views this month!

Nafisa and I saw this on our car. Hmmm.

Had to watch this with friends while Danielle was here! ... a Bollywood film that we are quite familiar with ;-)

The Last 6 Months

2015 has come quickly...and it's almost half over.

This was fun - driving behind this truck reminded me of my summer jobs during college in Randolph, MA. I ran a machine fro the same company that wraps newly minted coin. Quite the job. To learn the same company is in India was fun.

Breakfast one morning on the road with a dear friend and colleague.

Local bus ride can be fun

In April we did David Platt's SecretChurch live. that was a blessed time.
It started at 4:30am India time. 6 hours of non-stop straight Bible teaching.

A recent trip with some visitors from the US (see previous post), was lots of fun, including a trip to Aurangabad, India where the Bibi ka Maqbara is! Merrilea took this shot from inside.

Nafisa went to a VBS where she hooked up with some old friends and made new ones.

A shepherd on the cell in the back of a truck one early morning at a truck stop heading to southern Maharashtra. I was able to connect with Joseph on WhatsApp while we were eating breakfast!

Driving north to Aurangabad with a great gang of guys in the car.

for Dad

In 2009 my dad died

I think it's about time I took a different view of his death and someone else's death helped me nail it on the head...

ESPN anchor Scott Stuart (d. Jan 4, 2015) said

When you die, that does not mean that you lose to cancer. You beat cancer by how you live, why you live, and the manner in which you live," he said. "So live. Live. Fight like hell. And when you get too tired to fight, lay down and rest and let somebody else fight for you."

Apply it to the spiritual battles we have - that Dad had, and I think I found my mission in light of Dad's death.

I'm fighting it for you, Dad
