My approach to technology...which do you chose?

Two Types of Technology Users

I like to find solutions for the problems I have v. jumping at the next best gadget ... grant it, I may secretly want a MAC.

So we got a cat

Danielle came home from her Hindi class one evening. After dinner we gathered for some family time and she popped the question...Dad, what is it that you and mom do..."Be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry".... well, I saw this cat outside my language tutor's apartment...she was so helpless and cute...I couldn't resist...and we have a mouse problem in the kitchen....

We'll, I'm giving it (or "Her" ... her name is HOPE) 7 weeks. I've been REALLY allergic to cats in the past. So far, no physical reaction to speak of!  Hope is fun to have around. Maria asked me today if we should get another one.... ah, no.

Our friend, Cindy, has offered to take her after the 7 weeks is up. So, Danielle and Cindy have been 2x to the vet, taking REALLY good care of Hope. She's FUN!

We woke up to this this morning....coming right into our bedrooms and living room. :-(
Yes, this has nothing to do with Danielle.... just a bit of our lives this week! It's now after 4pm and there's still a strong smell of smoke in our house.

Week in Review

We would have had more pics from Nafisa's party but our memory card had errors! Argh!

I've been meeting with some guys in small groups and 1x1 over the last week. It's great helping them build their skills in helping others!

Maria greeted me yesterday, "May the Forth Be with you!" (4 of May).
So, we watched some of Star Wars episode 4 today!

All is quiet in Pune in response to recent world events. I hope it remains so.  The power has been out all day...Thank the Lord for inverters (4 BIG batteries)!!!  Temperatures remain in at 100 all week...it gets a bit cooler at night. Joseph is at a military-style Adventure camp! He hasn't broken his leg...just hurt it, he said! We'll see him tomorrow....hopefully in one piece!
